PhD Collaboration

The Science Museum Group has supported many AHRC collaborative doctorates to date.

As part of the Science Museums and Archives Consortium, comprising the Science Museum Group, BT Archives, Royal Geographical Society, Royal Society and Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, we were awarded one of the AHRC’s Collaborative Doctoral Partnerships, enabling us to fund six PhD projects a year over the next three years.

Current projects focus on diverse topics, including electronic sound and music in museums, digitized collections and the social museum, advertising healthcare to publics and professionals in 20th century Britain and road safety in the Motor Age.
